“I judge a mix the same way I judge a song: does it move me.”
More than ten years recording, mixing, and doing live sound. What I care about hasn't changed: music is an experience. It has to be felt. My job is to help the musician get there, in the session and in the final mix. I don't force one sound onto everything; I adapt to the person in front of me. Soul, R&B, blues, jazz, gospel, and the occasional rock record.
WHAT I DO
Tracking
Sessions in Riga. I pick the studio to fit the music, not the other way around. Bands, solo, full sessions or overdubs.
Mixing
I mix until the song moves me. In-the-box or hybrid, delivered release-ready.
Live Sound
Front-of-house for concerts and events.
